"It sounds like there's a T-Rex in your kitchen."

Yes, I was actually told that last spring when I was still doing the cooking thing. So work really picked up last spring, then the summer hit (who wants to be in a hot kitchen in the summer? Plus my weekends revolved around my pool, not going grocery shopping), and then I started grad school (so now Ramen is actually a part of my diet again, never thought I'd see this day). So I quit updating this, and then I also quit cooking new things.

Things are busy, but it's February and cold and rainy and I am looking for a challenge again, which I tend to do after the crushing grip of the new year loosens. Last year at this time I was researching joining the Coast Guard because I wanted a reason to pick up and move somewhere warm and sunny and near the water. Who doesn't want to spend their days patrolling the Dry Tortugas?

So I'm going to pick up the cooking thing again, with a twist: to make interesting, yummy recipes once per week as cheaply as humanly possible. What's a reasonable cap? $12?
